About Celtic Horizons - Peter Green

Peter Green was born and bred in, and inspired by the dramatic beauty of North Wales. It was here that the seeds of this lifetime love affair with all things Celtic began. Then living in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, where his beautiful and talented daughter Josie was born. Having spent many years visiting and now living on the West coast of Ireland, this passion for the Celtic World continues. Living in these magical, spiritual places all steeped in Celtic tradition, myth and legend and surrounded by the majestic Atlantic ocean, this environment nurtures, stimulates and inspires his writing, art and photography.

www.celtichorizons.ie is the culmination of a lifetime's work, bringing the many strands of Peter Green's life together. From business education/personal and business development to experiences in industry and the art world. Peter has worked with British Aerospace, the national newspaper of Wales, the Western Mail, and has taught and managed in further and higher education. Here developing and successfully teaching on many business programmes from supervisory management programmes, BTEC national and higher national diplomas, degree course and MBA programmes. Then venturing in to self employment, working as a business development consultant for local agencies. All the while developing his own business interests and pursuing his love of art, writing and photography.

The move to the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry on the West Coast of Ireland was the catalyst to further develop his interests in the marine and coastal conservation world. Now fully trained and qualified as a Marine Mammal Observer. This magnificent coastal and oceanic world has spurred Peter on to promote marine and coastal protection areas in Ireland. Peter is a keen water sportsman, having kayaked and surfed at many locations in Ireland, Western Europe and around the world.

The Dingle Peninsula has inspired his writing, art and photography. The book "A Celebration of the Dingle Peninsula - Corca Dhuibhne" reflects the ethos of Celtic Horizons Publishing. Peter ran co-operative art galleries in Dingle for a few years and has held many successful exhibitions of his own art. The exhibition "The Ocean" is on www.celtichorizons.ie and now showing at the Adh Gallery, Dykegate Lane, Dingle, County Kerry. Plus "A Celebration of the Kingdom and Islands of Kerry" is now live on www.celtichorizons.ie and some images available at the Adh Gallery.

The West coast of Ireland is steeped in history and tradition. This heady concoction of history, tradition, heritage and culture has culminated in the novel "The Tales of Amergin - Sea Druid, The Journey Beyond The Veil" published by Mirador Publishing. The novel is available on Amazon as a paperback and also on kindle as an ebook and is also available from local bookshops.
